Another one I had done the other day, and figured I'd post now that I've got the blood pumping on this Blog!

ComboBox Renderer Example

I'll try to start posting code in this in addition to the zip files, but I'll have to implement a rich text editor into this before I start... don't really feel like hand coding my code just to display right now. Also think I'll add an upload feature for attachments too maybe...

BTW, excellent job by Ray Camden on this CF Blog solution. Aside from having to upgrade my MySQL instance, this sucker was a breeze to setup... probably took all of 10 minutes to install and configure....

it's been a bit tricky finding simple Flex2 examples to show off some concepts (and that work - not Beta3 errors), especially when you're used to doing this in DHTML.

Thank you fr posting the combobox itemrenderer example. It has been very helpful. However, zI could not get the initialization of the combobox work with the dataprovider of my datagrid being an arraycollection instead of an array. The data.State or data["State"] does not get the value from the datagrid item. There must be another way to refer to an arraycollection item in a itemrenderer then just data any ideas?

In your datagrid renderer example.


Just make the height say 100pixels. (of the datagrid) and run the application.
and enable veritcal scroll policy as on
select the first elements combo box to Connecticut.

then scroll down.
and scroll up.
both by pulling the vertical scroll bar

look at the combo box you made to Connecticut it gets reset to newyork or something..

i guess i have faced the same problem.. its because we are not updating the dataprovider with the selected values.
as flash renders part on part. it feels that its selected item is different.

What is your solution towards this problem.

i have been trying to solve this for a long time...
it would be wonderful if you could mail me on this regard

The battery lasted approximately 6 hours before recharging. The LCD, however, had a few dead pixels - never saw this before. Tried returning for exchange and had to put up quite a fight. Anyone else seen this?
Verizon is about the only place you can get the authentic RIM product and matching door. Most other sites are out of stock and even when they are in stock they have the black battery door which looks like crap. http://www.batteryeshop.com
